Thanks Nick!
Turns out that I'm just like all my clients who call because they've forgotten their password. Just goes to show that I never should have left you.
You're still out there, right?
incense(d)

I just tried lighting some incense that I got today (cone shaped with a coconut scent, if you must know), but I don't think I'm doing it right. It is really smoking and doesn't seem to smell like anything other than something burning.
I did try to Ask Jeeves for his advise but according to the interweb I'm doing everything right. Dang it.
Suggestions?
thank goodness for Sundays

I know that Toronto never closes, and that Sundays don't mean the same thing here as they did at home in the Maritimes, but some days it still acts as a necessary day of rest for me.
Sundays are for tidying up, cleaning, relaxing, writing a letter (i'm trying to get back to letter writing and not just letter receiving), napping, organizing, sudoku, listening to music, reading, catching up, and preparing for the coming week.
I guess that's why they don't put anything good on tv before 10pm.
I just wanted to say...

... that I knew about the Cold War Kids first (before Daniel). That's all.

I just found an incredible track... Nirvana's Lithium covered by Polyphonic Spree.
I've never lied to you. It's all true.

On the 1lb. plastic container of cherries it says "5-10 a day for better health". Now, i'm pretty sure that they mean servings. And let's say hypothetically, i just ate the entire package. It just means i'm ahead of the game, right?
i should probably go outside

It is the first day in a long time that it is not 40-something with the friggin' humidex, so i should probably go outside. And I would, except that Drew has inadvertantly changed my life by introducing me to The Cold War Kids.
So, now i sit in front of my computer googling to find any downloadable tracks as their EPs just came out in LA and are not yet available here (partly since they aren't yet signed).
If i've got you curious you can go here and listen to "Hospital Beds" (my favorite) & "Hang Me Up To Dry". But if you can find the tune "Saint John", i highly suggest it. Oh, and "We Used To Vacation" is pretty amazing too.
And I was pleasantly surprised (read as SUPER stoked) to find that they will be in TO at the end of the month? Yeah, I'll be there.
ymm, triskets

the 6th sense

I am watching the 6th Sense on tv for the second time. Very interesting. It is one of only a few movies that demands to be seen a second time. I remember wanting to see it again, but never got around it. This has definitely been a weekend for getting around to it.
I also finally put my desk together. It meant moving some things around, and I feel all the more organized for it. Which for someone like me is pretty comforting.
That's about it for now. Time to put the air conditioning on again for a few minutes. The weather here is intolerable of late (and every summer) - it is 10:28pm and 28 degrees, but feels like 38 with the humidex (that's 100 for you P). Icky.
