voila internet! seems like my connection is back to being..... well, connected.
Another weekend gone and opportunities for sleeping in squandered. Waking up this morning was quite an effort; although, i must say, it was a great, jam-packed, weekend.
Jeannie called last minute and took the bus into TO for the weekend. I slept in until 10am (since i was meeting her at the Eaton's Centre Indigo at noon) but it hardly felt like sleeping in after Friday night's midnight movie (Creep, part of the Toronto Film Festival) and respective Q&A with director Chris Smith which followed. I spent about a third of the movie hiding inside my sweater and burying my head behind Daniel's arm and shoulder. The movie was good but gory. I won't say any more in case you want to watch it yourself.
Saturday and Sunday involved the walking tour of TO. Jeannie and i hit everything from Kensington Markets to IKEA and everything in between. And what would a weekend of touring around Toronto with me be without heading to Texas Armidillo for Big Sky nachos?! I honestly think that they are the best nachos i have ever had, anywhere in the world. That being said, Smith has yet to take me to Sneaky D's. He is vouching for them. We'll see.
I think all the go-go-go has me a bit worn out. I woke up today with a sore throat which has gotten worse during the day. Whatever it is, I'm not taking any chances. I refuse to be sick. I started taking Echinacea and vitamin C as soon as i got home from work. Cross your fingers for me.
